Kubuntu Gutsy – Problem change Login Theme

Alternative way to change login theme. When the KDM Theme Manager does not work.

  1. Alt + F2, type in kdesu konqueror and hit Run.
  2. Search your way to this path: /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes.
  3. Backup the folder Kubuntu by renaming it to for example kubuntubackup.
  4. Unzip a theme, name the folder Kubuntu and place it in /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes.

Open the KDM Theme Manager and see if the theme is there and selected.

    Now it’s winter.

I’m having trouble finding winter clothes that I want to wear and it’s just getting colder. The temperature is down to 22.1F / -5.8C and I have a large breed dog which means that it needs much exercise and it means much outdoor activities for the owner. I have at least found a hat! *Sighs*. I loath cold, I’m going to die of hypothermia.

    “Odd” justice in todays newspaper

A top jurist / judge in a civilized country wants to make it legal that a person can be married to more than one person. Though the statement that there should be a difference between law and moral sounds like an obvious and called for request, the change of law that he is fighting for sort of scares me. He also wants to give a stronger juristic protection to odd living arrangements in general. He claims that the law should not meddle with religious or private moral affairs. Personally I believe that bending the “rules” of society too much is going to end up in catastrophically proportions in ways that is hard to imagine before they exist. God, I don’t believe much good will come from this. Being a resident in this country I “suddenly” feel the urge to flee it.

    Reproduction

Why do we have children at a young age when we do not have much experience of life? And why does the female menstrual cycle end around 50 years of age? Our society and our own brains tells us that anything different from that is odd. Our brains are shaped by the society but who has shaped the society? We do not follow our instincts like the animals do.
